中川花菜「コーヒーかすを消臭剤に活用するためのプロダクトデザイン」 コーヒーの消費量増加に伴い、コーヒーかすの廃棄量も増えています。企業では、大量に発生するコーヒーかすをアップサイクルする取り組みが行われています。一方で家庭で発生するコーヒーかすに着目した製品は少ないことから、家庭での再利用を促すプロダクトの制作を行いました。 コーヒーかすは消臭効果が高く、特に水分を含んでいる状態で高い効果を発揮するといわれています。その一方で、コーヒーかすはコーヒーかすと同程度の水分を含んでいるため廃棄時の環境負荷が高いともいわれています。そこで、水分を含んだコーヒーかすを乾燥させながら、消臭剤として利用することで、水分を含んだ状態のときは、高い消臭効果を発揮し、最終的には乾燥した状態で廃棄することができます。 コーヒーを飲み終わった後も、消臭剤として利用することで無駄なく最後までコーヒーかすを楽しむことができます。 With the increase in coffee consumption, the amount of coffee grounds discarded is also increasing. On the other hand, there are few products that focus on coffee grounds generated at home, so we created a product that encourages reuse of coffee grounds at home. Coffee grounds are said to be highly effective in deodorizing, especially when they are moist. On the other hand, coffee grounds are said to have a high environmental impact when disposed of because they contain the same amount of water as coffee grounds. Therefore, by using coffee grounds as a deodorant while drying them, coffee grounds can be highly effective in deodorizing when they are in a moist state, and can eventually be disposed of in a dry state. By using coffee grounds as a deodorizer even after the coffee has been consumed, coffee grounds can be enjoyed to the last without waste.
